Salof / Kryopak Welcomed Xinao LNG Project Team
Salof Refrigeration Co., Inc./ Kryopak, Inc. welcomed Xinao's Weizhou
LNG Plant team headed by Mr. Chen Xiaohou during August 21 to 31, 2004.
The team also visited the major equipment suppliers of the LNG plant,
such as Cooper, Chart, Caterpillar, Rotoflow. etc. The team had a three
days interface and project review meeting with Salof / Kryopak's project
team. "We feel confidence for the success of the project after visiting
the major equipment manufacturers and Salof / Kryopak's engineering and
fabricatinon facilities, and meeting with Salof / Kryopak's project
team", according to Mr. Chen Xiaohou.
Beihai XinAo Gas Company Limited awarded Kryopak Company (d.b.a. Salof
Refrigeration Co., Inc.) a contract for the design and manufacture of a
150,000Nm 3/day Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) liquefaction plant. The LNG
plant will be located on Weizhou Island, which is approximately 21 miles
south of Beihai City , Guangxi Province , PR China. The LNG will be
produced from a gas stream that is currently being flared at the China
National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC) Weizhou Terminal.
Kryopak Co., which is located in New Braunfels , Texas , (a sister
company of Salof Refrigeration Co., Inc.) manufactures small to medium
gas processing plants for the LNG and LPG markets. The XinAo Group chose
Kryopak Co. due to their ability to provide a world class and power
efficient LNG plant. Work has already begun on Weizhou Island to prepare
the infrastructure that will be required for this project. The plant is
scheduled to be operational during May of 2005.
